2 simple truths about the Glass-Steagall act Banks were not allowed to do anything but traditional banking, no gambling at the Wall Street Casino

Futures on Commodities were only allowed to be bought by people taking physical delivery. To prevent BIG MONEY from driving up the prices of corn, gold, gasoline, etc etc.

Look back, you will see the real mess started with this. We were stable up then, we had 450 billion in debt before this Act was gutted.
