Don't let your end time theology ruin your faith to overcome this world, your faith to be the victor in Christ. Jesus returning to take us away is a faith that weakens the resolve to make the world a better place, it weakens the resolve to win, overcome and conquer by faith in the word of God. End time theology makes Christians weak, waiting instead of acting, expecting God to fix everything, and not take responsibility for making the kingdom of God on earth. God is not going to fix it without people of faith taking action. Don't let your doctrine make you a weak poor example of a human being.

So many Christians have been inculcated into a biblical perspective that virtually renders them incapable of viewing God's will with new eyes.
What happens if Christ returns, but not in the way that Christians expect it? WHat happens if Jesus comes back in a way they do not recognize?
There's plenty of scriptural content to uphold such a possibility.
I mean, consider: even the Hebrews were awaiting the coming of Elijah to precede the arrival of the Messiah. So when Jesus showed up proclaiming himself as the Christ, (the Messiah), they rejected his view because "where is Elijah, huh? This guy does not even know scripture!"
but when the disciples questioned him on this point, he said what? "If you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come" Matt 11:14.
Even John himself was oblivious to this fact: "Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” John 1:21
This is despite that john's dad was told was pretty much told he was... "And he will go on before the Lord in the spirit and power of Elijah" Luke 1:17.
So, John the Baptist was in fact the return of Elijah, even though he himself didn't grasp that point.
The point here is, our theological view can easily cause us to be oblivious to God's will, including the manner in which Christ Jesus will return.
Either way, its up to humans to return the Earth to God, under Christ's leadership and kingship. I see that happening right now.
I bet even the Christians before during war thought it was already their end time. Hmm.
Yes, a relevant point.
Actually, even the disciples thought their time was the end times. Believers have been on tenderhooks since day one. Even Jesus said "what does it matter to you if I come back before he dies?" implying it was just a few years away.
However, "now we see dimly, then we shall see clearly"
There are a bunch of scriptural and logical reasons for understanding what the end times actually are, how they will present, and what will happen.
So, actually, we need better understanding that just thinking "goodness, the Schiesen is hitten das Fanen!" so it must be the last days!
No, reason, logic, faith and most importantly understanding need to combine.
"Surely the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets." Amos 3:7
Certain prophets KNEW when Christ was born, although the religious leaders of the day did NOT. Thus, when the time is ripe, the truth will be revealed. I understand what I see happening today because I understand about the nature of the Last Days. I don't understand the nature of the Last Days because of what I see today!
Just saying.
Yup, blinded by our theology, and kept there for fear of straying from the popular view. Christians are breaking free though, it must be part of the awakening.
Inclined to agree
"In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams"
Now, Christians have always had those who prophesy, and those who see visions, and those who have dreams. But in my view, the KEY elements of this scripture is this:
"in the last days" and "I will pour out my spirit"
meaning? With the fulfillment of His providence, God's presence will become much more widely and deeply accessed by his Children. It will become a far more intimate relationship and connection than what has preceded "the last days".
Awakening.
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known"
Consider. When is "now", when is "then". It's hard to imagine that Paul was saying "now, in 50 AD" and then is like, in 300 AD, or 600 AD, etc.
No, I'm confident he was expressing how the reality for believers up until the last days is the "now" and that WHEN the time comes, with the fulfillment of providence, THEN we will see clearly.
NOW, I know in part. THEN, I shall know EVEN as I am known.
Known by who" By the Father, and by Christ. So, I'll know myself even as THEY know me. Wow. That's a pretty serious upgrade!
Awakening.
When does spring arrive? After winter has gone? No. Even in the midst of winter, spring is already active. Likewise, the advent of God's Kingdom (God's world) takes place even while the Satanic kingdom (Satan's world, Satan's system) is crumbling, being destroyed.
Great post.
Acts 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Peter said "This is that"............the last days over 2000 years ago, oh the worlds that have fallen since, but Christ's Words endure. It is the same today, we are called to overcome, not wait for God to fix it.
Verse Of The Day over @Christian.win is:
1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
