If all of the Godzillas ever created represent the specter of nuclear and biological war on the collective Japanese psyche then all of the Metal Gears ever created represent the very palpable specter of conventional warfare. Iron behemoths, armed with the most advanced and deadly weapons technology. Unimpeded by weather or terrain with the sole purpose of killing as many men as possible.
