Exactly. Part of the reason the elderly in the nursing homes were so susceptible to the worst of CV is that they were extremely frail to begin with. In my grandmother's final years, whenever she got sick she had a terrible time because she didn't have the strength to cough the crap out of her lungs - think of all the cases of pneumonia as a cause of death in older people.
