I work in Healthcare and visit nursing homes and hospitals. This past week I was in Chicagoland and each Hospital I visited the parking lot was half empty. No one in lobby, pretty much dead.
Went up to some med surge floors in two Hospitals and the nursing staff at each unit had no masks on and were bored looking at vacation plans etc. when they saw me walking up, they put their masks on and acted like they were working. As I waited for a social worker, they went back to looking at flights and vacation plans.
Media is saying it’s running wild out their with China virus Delta? Must of missed these giant Hospitals then…🤡 🌎
I dont understand why the hospitals arent filled with the homeless population. You know worst diet and hygiene, addictions, not the healthiest bunch Id guess--YET-- c o v i d doesnt affect them. In fact, theyre still everywhere. Some may say the pop has grown in places such as venice beach.
Also weird ER expected wait times, which can be checked online, have been consistently shorter thru 2020 and still now, than years before
Maybe they're dying on the streets in big cities like Philly and Vancouver where the fentanyl epidemic continues unchecked and dead folks are presumed to have ODd. Unless distraught parents demand and pay for autopsy, it doesn't happen. It's impossible to get an accurate count of the homeless in larger towns. In more rural areas, they often don't want to be found and have taken to the woods. Short answer: nobody actually knows.
