He's still in the process of recovering from a protracted benzodiazepine addiction. That stuff--Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, plus some stronger so-called research chemicals from Europe and Russia--causes brain damage, and withdrawal from them is BRUTAL. Recovery often takes years. It will be awhile before he's firing on all cylinders. Also, he's almost 40 years older than Shapiro.
He survived addiction to, and withdrawal from, benzodiazepines. It takes years for the brain to recalibrate. I think he's doing pretty well.

Kratom will help you stay abstinent. It totally destroys the desire to drink, as well as addressing pain and anxiety. I'm on the spectrum as well, and cannot do groups, so if the group but gets hairy, there are alternatives. Plant medicine--D8, microdoses of psilocybin, blue lotus tea, and kratom--are the best.
If you run into overwhelming urges to drink, kratom will help you. After I started using it for chronic knee and back pain, I noticed that whatever desire I may have had for alcohol vanished. Couldn't force myself to choke it down. Kratom tastes like dirt, but the payoff is huge. Keep it green.
