treatment of unvaxxed players was going to be very different from those who complied
Constitutional violation right there. The "equal protection clause."
"No State shall ... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." -- 14th Amendment, US Constitution
"If two or more persons conspire to ... oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State ... in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same ... They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both ..." -- 18 USC 241
These kids had every right to try out for the football team, and the school (a government institution, even if it is private it likely gets government money) has no authority to treat students differently for arbitrary reasons.
Engaging in coercion for an arbitrary reason is a criminal act -- both a state misdemeanor and a federal felony.
Start throwing around terms like "federal felony" and "civil rights violations" and some people WILL take notice.
If you hire an attorney, you will need one who is willing to be aggressive in pursuing this legal theory. MOST attorneys are pussies when it comes to challenging the government. But some will do it, and a few will do it with a smile on their face. But only a few. Take your time finding the RIGHT person to handle this (assuming you don't do it yourself).
The school's entire defense will be "but we was just listening to Fauci and protecting the other students."
And your/attorney's response is: "PROVE IT!"
They can't prove they were protecting ANYONE, because their position is based on FRAUD. If you get an HONEST judge (not a guarantee by any means), then they have no defense to treating some kids differently with no basis to believe that anyone was a health risk to anyone else.
Covid has 99.99% survival rate for kids, and the few who MIGHT have died from it have such severe health problems already (like leukemia) that they would not be playing sports in the first place
There is ZERO proof that face masks do anything to stop the spread of any virus, and specifically covid (almost 100 studies in the past 50 years, and ZERO evidence they help, and A LOT of evidence they do harm)
There is ZERO evidence that the imaginary vaccines do anything at all to stop the spread of Covid, because the drug makers did not even LOOK at that issue in their trials
BTW, since it was a Top 25 Div I school, I bet at least some of those kids had talent to make it to the NFL.
How much money do NFL players make these days? How many years and how many millions for how many kids? Consitutional rights violations based on FRAUD (triple damages) that caused a loss of future income.
An attorney/law firm could be looking at a $100,000,000 lawsuit. You will likely find some who want in on that action.
incredibly helpful. And i agree that it's going to be hard to find a lawyer who will support these brave young men. I'm sure the good ones are very busy now-a-days....

They have NO CASE.

CHOOSE WISELY.
BTW you have to prove these losses and can't just say "top 25 team means he was gonna make it to the NFL"
It's why the legal system is so fucked. Doesn't matter if you're right it matters if you can prove you're right.
