I’ve been working on putting together Data Centers that will sign strict no-deplatform clauses.
Many are open to that - the clauses are essentially “public pressure / cancel culture is not excuse to violate terms” with extremely steep exit clauses that also include SLA violation penalties.
Our main problem is that the internet itself is being gobbled up and upstream providers like AboveNet, XO Communications, and Level3 Communications are the cardholders here. A data center doesn’t do you any good if your connection is toast.
The goal here is big - I am lobbying Texas Lawmakers to adopt non-cancellation clauses tk push back under the premise of threat to commerce. That’s going well. No politician actually likes the idea of Commerce being threatened - trick is to have them understand the threat from cancel culture is fleeting and terroristic in nature.
Agreed.

Wish me luck.
Would be wonderful to see this effort grow wings and turn into business.
