I'm not saying that someone said masks kill pathogens. I am saying that masks do not kill pathogens. They're not magical pathogen stopping devices. At best they can stop and trap the pathogen. At that point the pathogen has to be discarded properly, avoiding touching the face of the mask and avoiding re-use of the mask.
