Please don't let anyone give you a blood transfusion 'cuz they're allowing people who got the COVID (faux) vax to donate blood! You can notate your refusal of this specific procedure in your Medical Directive orders and put it on file with your doctor and/or hospital.
This is imperative to do, especially if anyone is undergoing any type of invasive (cutting on you) surgery where a transfusion may be needed if things go south during the operation.
NOTE: There IS a chance that your surgeon or hospital could REFUSE performing your surgery if you specify in your Medical Directive that you will not agree to blood transfusions. (I know this from first-hand experience).
See blood donation criteria/eligibility info listed here: https://weareblood.org/donate-blood/eligibility/ (scroll towards the bottom of the page & see the first question in the "Vaccination" section)
As a maxillofacial surgeon (retired) we would advise doing this when doing double jaw surgery where significant blood loss could occur.
