How did that pan out for Assange? What will the effect of this be on other devs? You can't just shrug these things off, they do matter.
What does Assange have to do with it? I'm not aware of the link there, but also the general reaction of the monero community was that its a frivolous charge that's not gonna go anywhere.
What does a thought leader being arrested on unrelated charges in order to fuck with him and deter him from his otherwise lawful and legal activities have to do with fluffypony?

People have a strong habit of reacting the way to things they wish the world was. The reality however is "of the xmr community - half of fuck all are contributing code, and none of them will at all like the pony has been nicked on any kind of charge whatsoever".
