Why did China stop at just shutting down a port due to a single case of Covid? Why not shut down the entire city? How about locking down the entire nation of 1.2 Billion people due to one person having a single case of Covid?

If you are going to be stupid about it... then there are no limits. Expand it to include everyone and everything in a lockdown due to one guy developing the yearly flu.
