You can get an exemption if you tell them you’re vegan (it’s considered a religious exemption). Also, if you don’t work directly with people, it wouldn’t be considered necessary for the type of business so they wouldn’t have any legal standing.
vegan foods have come a long way - dairy, meat, honey all have vegan versions. They'd be discriminating if they assumed you weren't eating the alternatives lol. I think we should all just band together with fellow employees and fight it, but to each their own!
