That is a side effect of unchecked power. Not knowing the difference between that and that we are, indeed, a Nation of Laws throws suspect on your credibility.
We are and always have been a Nation of Laws. Unfortunately, the populace's attention span is on par with a goldfish and have allowed politicians to subvert.
Interesting. Apparently the “law” is that is perfectly fine to burn down cities, destroy monuments and statues, declare masks and vaccines are fine to mandate, etc., etc. Of course there are laws against such things, and many others, but those laws aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on if not enforced and prosecuted. But sure, we are a nation of laws. 🤡
Step back and hear yourself. It's literally a straw argument to press home a false equivalency. Seriously, that doesn't work on me....I'm not a Lib or a Dem. Your feelings on a particular subject doesn't make it fact.
-Point: No one argued that the system isnt being/hasnt been abused.
-Point: It is factual those in power will do anything to keep it, heedless of whom it hurts.
-Point: It IS factual the U.S. is widely known for being a Nation of Laws, followed or not.
-Point: All the above is being straightened out and only people saying otherwise are either not paying attention or opposition shills to sow discord.
At this point, I'd offer to begin paying more attention.

Wake up, handshake.
