I see your point, but non-Christians weren’t the intended audience. It’s the last line of many Orthodox Christian hymns. Think “I love my children but that’s a pale imitation of God’s love for us”—that’s how it’s meant for people who believe that Jesus Christ is God. Not that there’s no other love, just that he’s the real deal.
