We do. History has shown Americans will fight but as an absolute last resort. When that happens, we tend to kick much ass and with extreme prejudice.
They only times we "lost" was due to political interference. Had politicians just unleashed the dogs of war and stepped the F back, it would have been all over in a matter of weeks instead of years with no discernible outcomes.
Point is, if it ever comes when Americans will fight their own Government again, it's going to be a bloody no-quarter affair. Those of us who have served know this: once you unleash approximately 5million ex-mil to do their jobs again with no political restraint or ROE to follow, it's going to be all or nothing. Pray this never comes to pass but, if it does, I'll be one of the first to fire shots.
