Magnesium Chloride is your friend … guaranteed your are deficient. Blood serum is not a good measure of your cell numbers, but good to know anyway. If your Mg levels are low in your blood you are in an acute condition.
4 ways to up your Magnesium…
Foot baths with Magnesium Chloride flakes, it’ll also help you relax :) make sure the water is between 90-100 F or you’ll start sweating instead.
Get a good quality USP grade Magnesium Chloride crystals (Amazon has some brands, research them thoroughly), then make a Mg drink.
Get some Mg supplements - Mg bisglycinate chelate is the best form and absorbable without causing you to erupt like a volcano :) also known as Magnesium Glycinate. The KEY here is to get one that has almost no fillers.. and work out the actual elemental magnesium you will get per capsule.
Eat your veggies.
The RDA is insufficient, you will need more like 2,000 mg of Mg a day but maybe in your case I’d work up to 5,000 or even 6,000 mg per day. Go slow, keep an eye on your bowel movements.
Work on diet etc etc. you work on a hospital sounds like, but most docs are immensely stupid or ignorant when it comes to bio chemistry and nutrition.
Good luck !
I use Pure Encapsulations as well, so far the best I can find.. as ‘pure’ as I can get so far :)
I was surprised to see ascorbyl palmitate, so I’m still researching the reason for this in a Mag supplement.
I’ve also found that it’s best to ‘pulse’ your supplements vs taking it every single day (unless you’re severely sick). I try 3-5 days on, then the remainder of the week I’m off … similar to a loading dose.
