Agreed. Disowned my doc buddy of 20+ years who refused to accept the counter narratives of every single subject matter expert that we all admire bravely fighting the BS for the last 18 months (all of them much more qualified than him, I should add), calling them all cranks. Even when presented with expert analysis of official data, he was all “selective data” and “internet nonsense” etc. The utter lack of intellectual and critical thought blew me away. Lost all respect for him and realised he was just an automaton cog in the industrial medical complex. Told me I should quit being hesitant, get jabbed, and was also totally pro-vax passports even before they were properly on the cards. Then he took the lead on setting up a jabattoir for his health district, arranging 50k jabs, and thought he was some kind of hero. That was the final straw. I hope history proves him right, but if not, I wasted a large part of my life being friends with someone I admired for being a doctor who was actually a devious, shallow coward.
