Interesting. I'm amazed at how much we've been lied to, I never payed much attention, but growing up in the 80's and 90's, anything over there was a boogeyman. Unfortunately the more I learn, the more it looks like we were. I also had always assumed it was all about oil, I only recently learned about the poppies. In fact, I feel like a complete idiot because I always thought they called Bush poppy Bush because there were two, Jr. And Sr. How naive.
What I make of that is that Russia’s foreign policy is pretty much “Fuck America always and everywhere” and they know there isn’t jack shit going to be done about it because America is currently run by weak, lily-livered pussies.
Russians either cut a deal. Which is more then likely given their dislike of Biden and the fact it further complicates the fracturing U.S Foreign Policy and Alliance’s . Or they threatened them.
The Russian bear may not be as strong as it was back in the 80s and 90s. But there’s still a lot of fight left in it. Certainly more then enough to make the Talibans lives difficult.
