You can stop anyone you hear from calling it "Lockdown". Just interrupt them right in their tracks. Lockdown is for prisoners. We are Free Peoples.
These are Government Shutdowns. It's high time we branded them as such. Language is important, and a potent tool. Use it to your advantage.

Lockdown sounds far harsher to my hear than government shutdown. Just add the point that it is government causing the lockdown.
