I recently read Revelations for the first time a few weeks ago and thought the same thing.

Remember, Hillary and Bill wore purple the day after the 2016 election in her concession speech.

Several people wore purple, not just Kamala, on the fake inauguration day this year.

It's some internal comms - maybe signaling the beginning of an operation.
