The chances of a bad reaction are in 1 in 500, and the chance of death is 1 in 19,000.

So you can figure that about 48 children will suffer a bad reaction, some much more serious than others. Which is one reason why they wouldn't want any parents around to raise a fit.

If they are lucky, none of the kids will die, but if unlucky, 1 or 2 might.
