I think Australian culture and our leaders have a lot more in common with the CCP than people might think.

Australian culture has a long history of sucking the government tit and wanting to control peoples lives. It doesn't matter what the issue is, no matter how small, Australians always ask "how can the government fix it". "The government isn't doing enough". Government, government, government. There are no principles. People just want free shit and will vote for whomever is promising it, regardless of the long term consequences to themselves or their descendants.

We also have the most entitled boomer population on the planet who are absolutely obsessed with milking every drop possible from the youth. Whether it be pensions, real estate, healthcare, aged care, or anything in between, they want it now and they want it for "free". However, it doesn't end there. They didn't have enough children to support their gluttonous lifestyles and beef up their house prices, so now they import third worlders in mass to absolutely obliterate any culture we have left.

TL;DR

Australia is a self entitled nanny state with absolutely no concern for the future. We didn't need the CCP to destroy us, we were doing to ourselves anyway. All the CCP did was accelerate it.
