Neil Peart, of Rush, was heavily influenced by the Ayn Rand novella 'Anthem' when they recorded the album '2112.'

The world is controlled by the Priests of Syrinx to determine the subject matter of all songs, books, pictures, and every facet of life.

The band's affinity for Rand got them labeled proto-fascists or some other such nonsense.
