I grew up in east TN; people like to dump on it for being rural/mountain people...they forget the Manhattan project was there, and many of the scientists there never left...some of the smartest people I've ever met are just from good, quiet families in the region. ;)

yeah, just like they dump on Alabama, while Huntsville has one of the highest concentrations of PHDs in the nation. Bigots.
