My letter to DeSantis:

Good evening Governor DeSantis,

I hope you are well. I just found out the Palm Beach County School Board defied the executive order banning mask mandates. I had a parental exemption for my 8 year old son but that will no longer be accepted as of Monday.

This decision was made in the middle of the night with no parental imput at all.

This is heartbreaking for me and my family. We feel blindsided by this tyranny. My son was starting to hate school last year because of having to wear a mask and not being able to play with his friends freely during recess. He is in tears right now as I write this.

I don't know what can be done but if there is anything at all, I ask you to please act.
