California is actually very slow counting votes on election day for people who vote in person and any recently mailed in ballots. The only reason they get so far on election day is because they can count votes 29 days before the election for all mail in ballots.
How about you just show up and vote in person.
Only deployed military, the very infirm with a doctor's note and students living away for school should be able to vote by mail.
