Do you think there's a possibility that most printers/copiers do something like this this?
Maybe able to pinpoint where the fakes came from?
There was a suspicious fire at a printer company in NY (that incidentally printed ballots for 2020). Not sure of the connection, but this video brought back that memory.
Edit; QR code's contain lots of information... IP addresses don't take much space.... gps location data too
So from what I know about working in the printing industry. All printers do have unique identifying codes on them when they print, if it is a digital press using toner.
I'm really not sure with CMYK 4 color process printing and screen printing....
I do know that when we needed to print things that had unique identifiers we could use software so every print was the same, but all of them had unique codes on them, like for mail outs and things like that.
