I think they are quickly running out of time to repent. That is all they have control over at this point. Repent or be damned.
Yes, their time is very quickly running out.
But still, nobody should ever underestimate the power and impact of true repentance, and true acceptance of Christ, at any point in time.
Nor should anyone, ever underestimate the eternal cost of following the path of lies and destruction. In fact, it is simply impossible to overestimate that cost.
