Because some people like me grew up being taught (incorrectly) that religion is just a way to control people. I always thought I was too smart to get fooled by that. Only very recently have I realized what a fool I have been as I can see this is clearly a battle of good vs evil in this world. With no religious upbringing though I am very lost on where to start or how to get into it all
