Exactly. I just try to read intended outcomes, or projected reality, or the desired effect, of information presented to me -- and this leads to insights others miss. I watch for what a piece of media is trying to put in my brain, more so than casual viewing at face value, assuming a thing is genuinely informative.

I tend to miss, or disregard, a lot of presented information as a consequence of that kind of thinking -- and I don't get invited to parties.
