I can't speak for all of Maine but Ive been in different parts of the State many times in my life. I live in New Brunswick, Canada and us New Brunswickers go to Maine often. Good people there. Lots of Trump supporters too. Since President Trump got in, I always refer to the US as Trump Country like when I cross the boarder and they ask me why Im crossing, I say, "just want to spend some time in Trump Country and maybe do a little shipping" I have tags hanging from my purse with Pres. Trump's face on them and people would say ,"I guess you like Trump eh?" and I'd say, "NO. I love him, he's wonderful and you guys are soooo lucky!" They would whisper "we're Trump supporters too but have to be careful where you say it" I'd say', "I don't care who hears me. Maybe the media just wants people to be afraid" I haven't been there in a year and a half due to the boarder being closed. I hope some day I will be able to.
Yeah, it looks like a really nice place, I like the forests and mountains. I'm between there and Montana, but I just feel like Maine might be better for me.
Currently living in Daegu in South Korea with my family and I just can't move back to a big city in the states, not with all the crap going on. Even in my old home town of Charlotte, NC, it's taken such a dive in the last 10 years it's not even recognizable to me any more.
Just feel like living simply and raising my son in a place like that might be what is best, or staying in Korea, but that has it's own struggles.
Been thinking about moving to Maine. How is it politically there....?
