Don't forget Pakistan has nearly finished their border wall (fence) and patrol the entire span.

That will prevent a lot of the things that used to happen in Afghanistan from continuing to happen.

CIA and DoD fund Pakistan intelligence (ISI), ISI funds Taliban, Taliban uses US money to fight against US military/Afghan defense forces - wash, rinse, repeat for the last 20 years. Maybe our focus should be on what is happening in Pakistan.
