Because "maybe" this Taliban isn't the same one we started fighting 20+ yrs ago. Which is to say, they aren't the same.

I think they are the "real" taliban. The terrorist we saw on Tv were probably MI6/Mossad/CIA actors working with John McCain to make fake news for BBC and CNN.
