We have regulations preventing one group from getting control of all the steel, oil, etc... we have to extend that to the news and media.

Funny you say that. It was Bill Clinton who signed a bill into law that allowed for the consolidation of media. Before that, there were a variety of voices. After, they all consolidated so the structure could be centralized.
