It is even more nonsensical than those examples because the docs are walking out on those who seek to preserve their good health by avoiding experimental drugs.

True statement. Same conversation I had with my doctor and I justified my position with real, statistical data. Knew more about the side effects and stats surrounding them than he did. He didn't push back. He was more interested in why I felt how I felt and knowing more about the data I had crunched.
