We seem to inundated with semi sophisticated shills. Many have moved past handshake status. I find a good way to poke holes and get them to expose themselves is by asking questions. If they are a real person they usually answer honestly, but shills usually give a different kind of response.
Additionally, I smoked a pack a day for 20 years, but quit about 3-4 years ago. I remember getting a flu while being a smoker and it was not fun.... I am not justifying anything, but you would think being immune compromised, and knowing so, you wouldn't smoke, something that puts constant stress on your immune system. I guess that was the point of the question.
Oh, interesting method - I like it. I just saw a reply that seemed to be insulting to the post above and was chiming in to defend them b/c the question sounded snarky to me. But I appreciate your trying to keep our board free of shills and riff-raff if that was your intent.
I didn't find anything particularly 'suspicious' in the OP's original post or subsequent comment. It seemed like more of just a personal share to me. But I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt until they prove they have nefarious intentions. My view is we're part of The Great Awakening and running off people who are intellectually curious and seeking information is defeating our own goal.
Generally I like to give the benefit of the doubt too, that's why I ask questions, instead of leveling accusations, it allows them an out, but I guess I need to watch how my tone comes across, as you aren't the first person to mention it being snarky. Maybe I'm just getting jaded I dunno.
You are immunocompromised and you're a smoker?
That sure sounds judge-y of you.
