It's even worse than that.

Basically, it's "WE CAUGHT YOUR CLIENT LYING, AND WE HAVE ABSOLUTE PROOF."

Now, NOTHING their client says can be trusted, and they will almost certainly lose their case. In fact, the judge might tack on additional penalties for their client being such a big liar pants on fire.

Go ahead, put your client on the stand, we will destroy him.
