I've read that nicotine kills the S1 spike protein, and that it is known that smokers do not get Covid.

Anyone have any anecdotal evidence for or against?

I vape with a nicotine liquid. I have not changed my routines or habits the entire Covid pandemic and cared for two Covid positive people and never got sick. I have a good immune system and was never worried about it despite being 50. I heard early on the France was using nicotine patches on health care workers.
