I've read that nicotine kills the S1 spike protein, and that it is known that smokers do not get Covid.

Anyone have any anecdotal evidence for or against?

the other study I saw said nicotine in general so you could take patch, gum, losenge, etc.

because it was stimulating an immune response or something

Research also suggests nicotine may prevent a severe over-reaction of the immune system called a cytokine storm - a phenomenon found to be killing many COVID-19 patients.

edit: but I wouldn't worry about covid in general but nicotine has been said to be good for the brain in intermittent doses
