I've read that nicotine kills the S1 spike protein, and that it is known that smokers do not get Covid.

Anyone have any anecdotal evidence for or against?

I remember reading that they were giving nicotine patches to patients in France or Italy early on (like Spring 2020). It stuck out in my mind too because I'm a smoker. I'm sure you could still get it, whatever "it" is (😉) if you smoke though...
