You can spy on new orleans through several cameras all you want. They've been dead for quite some time, and the bars are typically dead during the day hours anyway, but go ahead and see in real time how things look. I'm especially interested to see how it looks on a friday and saturday night.
When the Quarter is rocking its every night, early in the morning (4-10ish) is down considerably as it is mostly service industry partying after their shift.
I stayed a couple days in the french quarter about 8 weeks or so ago. Met family members and a friend there. We all stayed on Canal St. At the hotel there was a small part of the lobby where a mask was required, stupid yes. That was the only time a mask was worn by any of us, pass the mask nazis no more mask. There was at the time a curfew/mask requirements for restaurants/bars...all establishments we saw ignored that requirement. We didn't see any enforcement of the curfew or masks, in fact most people ignored the requirement. We spoke with a restaurant owner who said whatever they require we all will overlook it.
Since N.O. has cancelled all the events I plan to go back when it cools down for a few nights. We stayed at a very nice hotel on Canal for $114 p/n and that was because at the time all events were cancelled.
Great, if true. Could have been filmed in the morning when things are slow and empty.. I don't believe much of anything anymore.
Same thoughts. Show me these places at happy hour or at night.
still dead
The Immutable Law of Unintended Consequences. It's a BITCH of a law, but it's really a thing.
