When I got there and said I was healthy and I didn't need a mask, they told me I had to wait outside. So I left. And when they called me to say they were ready I went off and called them out for discrimination. Fuck them.
Update: I filed a complaint with their national website, received a call a little while ago about it, and got nowhere with the person on the other end of the line. At least I got another chance to bitch about how stupid it is that I was being discriminated against for being healthy.
My dentist has been a long time family friend & is pretty based. He is the only one among his siblings who refused the jab & thinks COVID is a hoax in how over hyped it is, admitting it is a real virus that can have deadly consequences if individuals refused to take the proper treatments for it (which again is not the jab).
He & his staff (except the office manager who is afraid they will be shut down by the other staff's opinions surrounding COVID) do not dispute that the masks do nothing for viruses. Though they have for years wanted to find a way to get their patients to wear masks to prevent dental particulates from entering patients lungs. The masks do help prevent the dust kicked up into the air from drilling out cavaties.
This dentist as a general rule prefers natural solutions to drugs anytime he can help it with his clients. Our families used to go biking/cycling every weekend for a few years & would spend occasional holidays together for a couple decades.
I stopped going until I spent time outside the office and asked him why he kept the mask charade going on. When he told me about the particulates it made sense & had a good discussion about ionophores.
Now that I think about it, I wonder if he could prescribe ivermectin for oral issues.... Hm....
Either way find a good dentist & if they tell you to wear a mask, verify why. It may have nothing to do with COVID and they might just be looking out for your health.
I don't buy that excuse from him.
I would love to challenge him if you have a good rebuttal. He and I have had some great debates on ideas in the past.
That's why they put rubber dams in the mouth while doing the drilling. He's full of hot shit.
I will ask him about that one. Thanks for the info.
If I understand what a rubber dam is (just thinking about) then that would protect the patient/throat from particulates flowing down the throat. What about crap that goes away from the patient?
Thank you for this question to throw at them.
I had all my amalgams removed around 1992. Rubber dams were used and for any stray particles or gases, they had a suction device right in the area of interest.
Welcome.
Thank you, just wondering on a larger scale if I were to toss 1/4-1/2c of flour on table/floor really hard with a vacuum running would any of that dust escape?
This will make a good experiment with my kids. Thank you :D
