It will be interesting to see what administrative action is taken against military personnel who refuse to take the jab. Reprimand, fine, incarceration or discharge are all punitive. There is no telling how many will refuse and even less likely that the military will report on any of these numbers.
Next up, federal funding cut off to any institution that does not adhere (including any company that does business with the govt), and lastly, if you're not in the above groups, the individual mandate.
I have always felt the military jab mandate was the trigger event.but if its not, we got a long way to go. Right now, I am hoping this memo is just paper-tiger stuff
They’ll probably get NJP’d. Which is “ Non-Judicial Punishment (NJP) is known by different terms among the services, such as "Article 15," "Office Hours," or "Captain's Mast." The purpose of NJP is to discipline service members for minor offenses such as reporting late for duty, petty theft, destroying government property, sleeping on watch, providing false information, and disobeying standing orders.”
Hopefully, that’s all. Court martial is after that. But the sheer numbers makes me think they’ll be NJP’d.
When I was a junior Marine, I almost got NJP’d for having alcohol in my barracks underaged. Thankfully, I only got a stern talking to. But it’s bad, it’s a stain on your record and can result in a reduction in rank, loss of pay, extra duty or other punishment but it just depends how they’re going to handle masses of military who refuse to take the vax. I’m hoping they’re not going to cave and just get it. I wouldn’t.
This sucks though. Really sucks. I keep praying every day things get better for everyone.
