I don’t want to toot my horn too much, but this makes me crazy. I work in IT and have to solve complicated network/computing issues. I must be able to consider multiple possibilities in order to do my job. I must be able to do it often without any access to the network/computers and do it using what little information I’m able to drag out of others. Often my “gut” is telling me something and I’ve learned to listen to it. But I guess many others have never been pushed into having to hold more than one thought in their head at the same time.
