Still, LEDs in most cases are not any good. I’m on our HOA. There was a request to change our street lights to LEDs. Contrary to popular belief it wouldn’t save us much money because the bulk of the cost of a street lamp is the physical post/lamp maintenance/power delivery itself. It’s not the power consumption. Anyway, a new nearby neighborhood has the LED street lights. Absolutely horrible. Anxiety inducing. Dystopian. Glare from them actually decreased safety because when driving you only wanted to look away from them. I strongly recommended we do not go with the LEDs until technology improved.

I did replace the recessed lamps in my house with LEDs, but I picked some that mostly matched the output of the sun in terms of color. We really don’t use many of them and those that we do I have on a dimmer because the LEDs are too bright/harsh.
