How does one become a "redneck"?

Is it something one can apply for?

Do they allow honorary members?

Or is redneck a title? Like OBE, Knighthood?

Redneck originally referred to farmers who spend long hours in the field in the hot sun........ergo, red necks. I believe this term extended to mountain folk as well. Some get off on disparaging those who contribute mightily as some have said here. Most "rednecks" here tend to be patriotic and loyal Americans. In that respect, anyone can at least be an honorary redneck....LOL!
