He takes a seizure medication and is afraid to mix the two, plus he doesn't take a lot of meds because his stomach doesn't react well. Can he rub his paste on and it still be effective? Edit: Sorry I forgot to post he was diagnosed with "coof" last night.

My sister knows a guy who rubbed the horse paste on his hands daily. She said it took him 3 weeks to get rid of the rona, and she thinks it's because he rubbed it on his hands instead of ingesting it. Not sure if that's true because there are some things that are only supposed to be rubbed on (not ingested) and they do whatever it is they're supposed to do. Agree with the other poster (demonite10) that adding DMSO might help it absorb better. I've used DMSO on myself and my horses for years with no ill effects. That said, sometimes mixing things is contraindicated, either because that causes a new problem or because they cancel each other out, and I have no idea about DMSO + ivermectin. I have mixed DMSO with Absorbine horse liniment to good effect, so I know it can be mixed with some things.
Hands, especially a man's, tend to be calloused. Certainly thicker than other skin areas. Plus they get washed. Most of his medicine went into dead skin cells and was wasted. Better place is armpit, skin on chest under armpit, skin on inner arm above armpit, under boobs but not on nipples, inner thighs.
Good to know.
