The garlic mitigates the infection which, in turn, lowers the risk of the scarring.
I do one ear at a time and lay down to let gravity get the oil into my ear while holding a Kleenex. It will slowly seep out for a while after that. Whatever you do, don’t wear a white shirt after doing it.
Thank you! One more quick question: Do you infuse the oil with raw garlic or do you let it cook together for a bit before cooling it down and then putting it in your ear? Sorry for all the questions, it's just that I didn't know ear infections can scar the ear drum and I'm worried if my kid ever gets one (God forbid).
My daughter had bad ear infections all the time. I asked the doctor for a few refills that I could use in the future. As long as the infection is not bad and you catch it, I think you would be good (concerning scarring.)
just curious, does the garlic oil prevent the scarring? And do you put like a cotton ball or something to stop the oil from leaking out?
