Have you noticed the help wanted signs in their many thousands all over the place? Companies I have never seen with a help wanted sign out now have them. Meijers, walmart and Kroger have them outside their stores all over my area. Big signs that hang off the side of the building. Never seen this before. Meijer has one checkout open at noon on Sunday because they have no help. Cracker Barrel has 2 servers on a Saturday afternoon. Half the tables are empty but they have a 1 hour wait time.

I am a contractor. Even with a 1500 dollar signing bonus I cant find help. I am paying 25 dollars an hour for jobs that 12 months ago paid 15. I am hoping for warm bodies at this point. All the contractors for all my builders are facing the same situation.

The workers hold all the power. Stand up to the tyranny. Most employers are playing the bully, trying to intimidate you into taking the clotshot. Stand up for yourself and most will back down. They cant fill the positions they have open now and they arent going to create new openings they cant fill if they want to stay in business.
